IPG Deploys New Technology for Customers
Posted on Mar 25, 2011

ATLANTA, Georgia, March 23, 2011- Implantable Provider Group (IPG), a leading nationwide provider of implantable device management solutions, is pleased to announce the completed rollout of the company's first ever customer portal, myINSIGHT(SM). This purely web-based platform was designed to provide significant capability and functionality to IPG's customers, while also making a substantial difference in how they can perform in the device management marketplace.

IPG customers now have the ability to access real time case status information by simply logging in to myINSIGHT(SM). "Healthcare interconnectivity is vastly behind other industries. Traditional paper based and phone based case management practices are costly, inefficient and prone to errors. We wanted to provide a solution that made it easy for hospitals and ambulatory surgery centers to securely exchange timely information with IPG, while leveraging existing technologies they use today. Our solution is simple to implement with no upfront costs, licensing fees, or disruptive installation cycles," said Marty Smith, chief information officer at IPG.

The magnitude of usage and adoption by IPG's providers has exceeded expectations. The rapid consumption proves IPG's belief that simple solutions around a secure portal would be highly adopted. Early adopter of myINSIGHT(SM), Steven Encardes, director of material management at Surgical Specialists ASC, says, "Having the ability to login in to myINSIGHT(SM) and get real time information has enabled me to more efficiently manage my cases and materials. Our facility processes the same amount of cases in half the time, allowing us to reduce administrative work and costs."

"We are currently in the planning stages of our next generation of portal where we will further integrate the sharing of secure information with payors and manufacturers. This integration will complete the full life cycle of implant device management for our providers and streamline the connectivity from provider to payor, to patient, to manufacturer and everyone in between," said Smith. "This strategy is in alignment with one of our business principles to aggressively deploy technology to improve efficiency in the delivery and management of medical device therapies."
